This generously sized pedestal cake stand has a highly decorative border featuring pairs of doves, stylised foliage and laurel wreaths thought to be inspired by the aesthetic period. The botanical element is repeated on the pedestal foot with gilt detailing and turquoise borders.
Dimensions: height 6.25cm at rim, diameter 35cm. Maker's mark BEDFORD printed on base along with style/production number 3/8349. Early Transferware with hand applied finishing. Minor wear to rim in keeping with age.
