This beautifully hand decorated jug features the red fleur de lis from the coat of arms of the city of Florence, Italy. It also served as the family crest of the Medici family, the noble ruling family during the Renaissance. Acanthus leaves and exotic birds are also featured in this wonderful, colourful jug.
Dimensions: height 24.5cm, diameter at rim 13.5cm, diameter at widest point 19cm. Maker's mark on base Foreign, Italy 2609. In good condition.
